There are many individuals who are both people with disabilities (and/or their family members or friends) and also members of the GLBTQ community. This group is here to provide support, awareness, understanding and a safe place for those to come learn and discuss their disability, their sexual orientation g@y, lesbi@n, bisexual, questioning, heterosexual, etc.) and their sexual designation/identity (male, female, FTM, transgendered, etc.).
Anyone is welcome to join this group. If you are an ally of the disabled GLBT community please join us in our quest to build up tolerance, awareness, and understanding of all people regardless of their sexual orientation, identity, or otherwise.

Thanks for joining everybody who has....one thing that I find very sad is how similar the disabled community and GLBTQ community are and yet so much misunderstanding is held between the two. GLBTQ people sometimes dismiss the abilities of those of us with disabilities. Disabled people sometimes judge unfairly the GLBTQ community. We are all minorities. We all face prejudice (many of the same prejudices actually - from denial of health care to adoption denials/parenting trials). Together we are strong. Divided..the majority wins.

This group isn't just for those who are GLBTQ but also those who are straight and supportive! Our allies are some of the best advocates we have!
