How has your disability changed your life...for better or worse?: Made me a better man and helped me focus on what is really important in life. Helped me better appreciate family and true friends.
How have you overcome obstacles?: As all of us can attest there is not enough room to scratch the surface on how we have overcome life's obstacles. I think the best answer I can give is faith and knowing God will answer in his own time and way if asked to help you overcome...I always wear a cross inscribed with "Footprints in the sand" to remind me he carries me when life is most difficult and that he never leaves me.
What is your most embarrassing moment?: Falling straight over backwards my first time in a wheelchair. The wheelie bars were the wrong size and were too short to even touch the ground. The PT staff told me to test the tip level of the chair and bam.....my head bounced off the wood deck....that counts as pretty embarassing.
What is your most triumphant moment?: Leaving the hospital and rehab center and living on my own after almost dying several times when the doctors predicted for life  I would be in a nursing home at best . Doing what people say can't be done always makes my day and gives me the drive to move forward.
What are your dreams...for yourself and your peers?: I will make the Fortune 500 before I am done here on earth and will leave it all to charities helping the disabled and huddled masses.

Overview:

I am a T-6 complete and have been an entrepreneur before I was hurt (1993) and will be until the day I die (2050). My disability has been a gift in the greater scheme of things in my life. OK...my wife divorced me. Ok...my business partners screwed me while I was comatose from September to December 1993. OK...my partners canceled my medical insurance a month after my injury, retroactive to the week before I was injured. OK...I had to fight four major lawsuits (as plaintiff not defendant) and a divorce at the same time, while I lay in the hospital fighting for my life . I was fortunate to have a business career before my accident (passenger in a rollover accident) but jumped from one success to another in life. Varsity athlete, school president, honor roll, beautiful wife, beautiful daughter, financial success and all the trappings of wealth all before the age of 30 and I was a self-made man (no wealthy father life Trump).

I have learned more about life and business, due to my set backs and disabilities, than I could have ever learned as an able bodied successful businessman. "I was blind but now I see",  the daily challenges life holds for the disabled and the minority population are overwhelming at times, but they can be overcome by focusing....focusing...focusing and organize...organize and organize some more. I know my tank is only half full when I start the day and need to not waste even a drop of time and energy to succeed in reaching my daily goals, business and personal. God has played a huge part in my physical and emotional recovery and my daily struggles to reach my goals.  I still keep my sites set high and never let me dreams fade away. He has helped me realize what is truly important and how precious life really is , which helps me prioritize my daily tasks. I appreciate every day and try to achieve at least some small success every day. I have learned to keep dreaming, visualize my success, remember my failures, forgive my foes, love my family (even when we don't get along) and always be a decent human being in my personal and business life.
