Overview: Hi. I am a 28 year old female with a son who when born we found out he had a form of MD. We also found out that I also have it to. I must say I feel blessed to be where I am at today. I really do not have much to say about my son and I except that I am very open minded and love talking to peple form all areas of the world. I would also like to meet a few here in Michigan nearby. It is hard when all your friends get excited about their children's milestones and you have yet to reach them. I do have to very understanding friends who are very supportive but a parent going through the same right now would be nice.

How has your disability changed your life...for better or worse?: It has not changed my life too much. I am just now more active in charity work and know that i must live my life to the fullest. I did before but I do even more so now. Nothing Dangerous but more that I would have imagined

How have you overcome obstacles?: I just keep on moving. I do not let anything stand in my way. Before I used to give up but now I have rwalized i should just keep pushing on.

What is your most embarrassing moment?: i do not think I have had one yet. No wait I take that back I was in a nurturing group that lasted 23 weeks and every time I was there I had a hard time opening the water bottles they gave us.

What is your most triumphant moment?: Seeing my son do things before doctors said he could.
What are your dreams...for yourself and your peers?: To live long healthy happy lives. Make the most of today and live strong for tomorrow.
