Disability Name: partially sighted and bipolar disorder
Disability Description: congenital idiopathic nystagmus. i use a white cane when i can be bothered.
i also have bipolar disorder but dont let it rule my life

How has your disability changed your life...for better or worse?:

Im very stubborn and as such throw myself into challenges and proving people wrong.

My disabilities (plus growing up with a disabled mother) has taught me to fight stereotypes and assumptions.

 

How have you overcome obstacles?: I take my cane and beat them out of the way
What is your most embarrassing moment?: throwing money into a homeless mans tray only to realise it was actually a water bowl for his dog.
What is your most triumphant moment?: Graduating from Uni with a 1st after my doctors told me i wouldnt get through my 1st year.
What are your dreams...for yourself and your peers?:

I want to go on to do a MA in disability studies. It will be hard work and i know that it will take a toll on my bipolar. but its what i want to do and being me im going to do it.

I am still working on my plan of world domination in the form of disability humour
