How has your disability changed your life...for better or worse?: I believe my disability has shaped my every being. I cannot say if it has changed my life for the better or worse. I do not know a life without disability or at least I do not remember one. I started to see affects of my MD when I was about seven. So, talking about whether or not my disability has changed my life for the better or worse would be like saying my life has been good or bad being that I am living with a disability. My life is golden. I have had situations in life where I have lived good and other situations where I have lived not so good...but that's my life. Really that is life for all whether or not they have a disability...sometimes we laugh and sometimes we cry. I try to not question circumstances that have been out of my control. Basically I believe people just have to focus on what they have in the moment and continue breathing.
How have you overcome obstacles?: I would not have come this far if not for the help of family and friends.
What is your most embarrassing moment?: Who hasn't had an embarrassing moment? I currently can't think of anything horribly embarrassing this instance although I can say that I have had those situations where I might have broken wind in public once or twice. Anyway, I come to realize embarrassing moments happen. You just gotta laugh and shake it off.
What is your most triumphant moment?: My most triumphant moment has been graduating from college since I am the first to do so in my family.
What are your dreams...for yourself and your peers?: My dreams for myself and others are to find fulfillment and be content.
